ENT Emergency Care Team (ECT) |

In response to the challenges created by the working time directive, six experienced ENT nurses (1.00 WTE G Grade and 4.64 WTE F Grades) within the department undertook a period of advanced speciality training. |

As of the 4th August 2004 they formed the ENT Emergency Care Team, adopting an enhanced nursing role when on duty between the hours of 21.00 to 09.00 Monday to Sunday. There is one member of the team on duty each night based in Ward 9, Monklands Hospital. |
