ENT Emergency Care Team - Training

The project got the go ahead at very short notice. A comprehensive in house training programme was set up, which included a mix of formal teaching and supervised practice. All the staff participating have many years experience in ENT but all found the training both rewarding and challenging.

A learning and competency framework was utalised based on existing documentation. We are now establishing a more detailed competency framework based on NES requirements. This is being introduced across many areas in NHS Lanarkshire.
